Angry Birds: 4 Easter Eggs, In-Jokes And References You Need To See

You probably already noticed, but there's a lot of bird puns (and a fair few pig ones) in Angry Birds. It's a smart move - they're incredibly fitting of the game's tone and so relentless it's hard to not find a few that land.

However, some of the gags go beyond doing a Ctrl+F and inserting bird terms into the screenplays; there's a few more hidden ones for fans to pick up on that are pretty great. One of the best is a character named Brad Bird (voiced by Josh Robert Thompson), an affectionate shoutout to the Pixar maestro (director of The Incredibles and Ratatouille) of the same name, a pun that almost comes pre-written. Interestingly, this it isn't the first time the filmmakers been the inspiration for an animated character; the facial design of The Incredibles was modelled on him.
