As an Ant-Man origin story with no apparent appearances from any established Marvel Cinematic Universe characters - aside from Howard Stark, that is - it is difficult to imagine this movie linking in immediately with any of the Avengers movies. But will it actually be the case that it doesn't? With Avengers: Age of Ultron being released before this movie, Ant-Man will already have missed two of the superhero team's adventures and without directly linking him to the team in his own origin movie, it's difficult to see how he'd fit in to the third movie - so surely there'll be something that gets him involved with Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Captain America et al? We'll have to wait to find out, but it's hard to see how Ant-Man will fit in to the wider universe if there isn't an immediate connection to the other heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this movie - perhaps it will come in the mid-credits or post-credits scenes? Who knows at this stage?
