Spider-Man and Ant-Man actually have a significant amount of history together. Both characters are considered 'street level' heroes, so they tend to move in the same circles and battle similar villains. There have been several stories featuring a miniaturised Spider-man teaming up with one incarnation or another of the size-changing hero. And just look at the names. Ant-Man, Spider-man... makes sense, no? A fake mid-credit scene for Age of Ultron released online already featured a cameo appearance from Spider-man. With the announcement that a version of the wall-crawling hero will be featured in upcoming Marvel projects, fans are busy speculating where, and how, the character will make his first appearance. Although it's highly unlikely that he'll appear in any meaningful way before next year's Captain America: Civil War, or even Avengers 3, there's every chance that Hank Pym (a renowned scientist like Peter Parker will one day become) may mention the name of a student or intern in passing. Alternatively, a simple passing reference to the Daily Bugle, Scott looking for a job at Oscorp, or even a wall-crawling silhouette could be seen in the background of a panning shot. What nuggets of Marvel goodness would you like to see hidden in Ant-Man? Let us know in the comments below.
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
