7. Hank Pym Created Ultron
Hank Pym was the creator of Ultron in the original Avengers comics, so the fact that Age of Ultron was released several months before Ant-Man raised a few eyebrows among fans. Having Tony Stark fill Pym's role in the creation of Ultron solved most of these problems without too much fuss. But a large proportion of the fan base still want some link between Ultron and his original 'father.' The fact is that Hank Pym not only created Ultron in the comics, but also re-created him, built various other robots intended to destroy Ultron but which turned out just as evil, created a robotic Wife of Ultron named Jocasta based on his own wife's brain, and generally made a lot of the mistakes that you'd expect anyone who's heard of Frankenstein not to make. While Ultron himself may not appear, there's every possibility that Hank Pym will have worked, or be working on, a similar project involving artificial intelligence. Yes, Ultron is dead and gone. Well, for now, anyway. But how many comic book characters have died in the past only to come back from the dead? With great intelligence comes great, world-endangering egoism, so do you really think Hank Pym is above trying to succeed where Tony Stark failed?
