8. Wright Could've Used His Famous Friends

Through his work with Simon Pegg on the Cornetto trilogy, Edgar Wright has amassed great working relationships with many of the most talented actors of the British comedy scene. As director of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, he also gained access to some of America's top comedic talents. The prospect of a Simon Pegg or Nick Frost cameo in Ant-Man was something really exciting. As a British fan of comic book movies, the notion of seeing those faces rub shoulders with superheroes and supervillains was genuinely thrilling. Unfortunately, Wright's absence means that Pegg and pals are going to be without superpowers for the time being. Looks like he'll have to make do with a ride on the Enterprise.
