Ant-Man: 13 Obscure Easter Eggs & References You Probably Missed
2. Pym Tech's Logo References Jack Kirby
Though it seems like a fairly simple symbol, the Pym Tech logo is actually a very clever reference to creator Jack Kirby.
On the face of it, the symbol could represent a simple molecular structure, and just be vaguely associated with science in that respect, but looking back at Kirby's work (both at Marvel and DC after he jumped ship) proves fruitful if you're searching for symbolism in the design.
Kirby frequently used circles and stark lines - and indeed principles closely related to futurist art - to imply hugely advanced technology. It was effectively his go-to filler to make characters like Galactus and Doctor Doom and advanced alien races seem even more exotic to human characters, and his universal symbol for complex technology that was unknown to them.
Well, either that, or it's the most Inception like announcement of Half Life 3 ever conceivable (since it looks a little like Steam's logo).
