Ant-Man 3: 10 Ways Kang The Conqueror's Introduction Will Change The MCU Forever

2. Changes To The MCU's Timeline

Avengers: Endgame established a set of rules for how time-travel works in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and those are likely to be followed moving forward. For example, when Earth's Mightiest Heroes plucked the Infinity Stones from the past, they only affected the timelines they were taking them from, and not their own.

That means Kang can resurrect pretty much anyone he wants to fight by his side; he could head back to 2015 and pluck Ultron out of the past moments before his defeat, meaning The Avengers would have to assemble to beat him all over again (don't forget that the sinister android ruled over his own desolate future once upon a time).

Simply put, there are a million different directions the MCU could head in after Ant-Man 3, and even something like the emergence of mutants could be explained by Kang somehow creating En Sabah Nur (a.k.a. Apocalypse) when he was ruling over Egypt.

What will be crucial here is making sure it doesn't all become too complicated for non-comic book fans!
