Ant-Man 3: 10 Ways Kang The Conqueror's Introduction Will Change The MCU Forever

3. The MCU's New Big Bad

Thanos first showed up in The Avengers' mid-credits scene, and while Ant-Man 3 seems like a strange place to introduce the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next big bad, there's nothing to say that won't be the case. After all, the threequel could make use of an early version of Kang who comes back to learn more about this timeline before fully descending into his "Conqueror" persona.

More than anything, Kang enjoys conquering timelines and ruling over them as a God - just like he once was as Rama-Tut - but the reality that's always alluded him is the one belonging to The Avengers.

Over the coming years, Kang could continue pulling the strings of the timeline these heroes call home to make it easier for him to control, and eventually, it might be the combined forces of the Young Avengers, Eternals, Fantastic Four, and X-Men that stop him. However things play out (you just know Kevin Feige has a plan), there's no way Kang should be a one and done bad guy.

He's definitely up there with the Mad Titan as a universe-ending threat, and deserves to have more screentime than the likes of Malekith and Ultron.
