Ant-Man: 8 Actors Who Could Play Young Hank Pym

5. Patrick Wilson

For those looking for a reason why Patrick Wilson would be a great choice for the young Hank Pym, make sure to check out his turn as Dan Dreiberg, aka Nite Owl, in Zack Snyder's Watchmen. Balancing brilliant intellect with emotional coldness, Wilson's performance as Nite Owl is the one that put him on the map with most audiences. Whereas Nite Owl gave us Wilson playing a near-genius level character, his recent return as Josh Lambert in Insidious: Chapter 2 brought us the actor playing a psychologically-damaged and unstable character. Given the various breakdowns and psychological problems that Hank Pym has suffered over the years, Wilson would make a great choice for the young Pym role if Marvel Studios decided to elaborate on that side of the character. Wilson could bring a calculated intensity to the young Hank Pym if afforded the time, although it seems as if the younger version of Pym will be restricted in terms of how much screen-time he gets in Wright's film.
