Ant-Man And The Wasp: 11 Big Implications Of Marvel's Announcement

5. Is Everyone Going To Think Inhumans Aren't A Primary Concern?

It's somewhat inevitable that questions will be raised about Captain Marvel and Inhumans. They're now the only two properties that we know absolutely nothing about, and while it would be extremely foolish of Marvel to even entertain the idea of cancelling Captain Marvel, Inhumans probably isn't quite so untouchable. That is perhaps why there were rumours immediately after the announcement of the Ant-Man sequel that Inhumans was about to be cancelled entirely (thanks to Bleeding Cool's suggestion of internal political conflict). In the absence of tangible news, the Internet will immediately over-react and suggest something that fills the gap. The cancellation story has now been debunked, but Marvel clearly need to stem any suggestion that Inhumans is not going to be considered as an important part of the MCU by releasing some actual information on it. That would at least represent a smart publicity move.
