While it's fair to say that Ant-Man and the Wasp's screenplay felt like it dumbed-down the Scott Lang character a little, that did nothing to undermine Paul Rudd's terrific comic timing.

Lang is desperately trying to juggle his final days of house arrest with recovering the Pym lab and rescuing Janet from the quantum realm, and Rudd sells the bewilderment factor excellently.

Lang's best scene, surely, sees him embodying the consciousness of Janet, acting as a conduit for her presence, much to the bafflement of Hank and Hope.

While it still feels like much more could be done with the hero overall, Rudd can't be faulted for his first-rate work in the role.
