Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania - 8 Reasons It Sucks

1. It Shows The MCU Hasn't Learned Anything From Phase 4

The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Four was a disaster that saw a lot of people turn against this once-beloved franchise, with only Spider-Man: No Way Home and WandaVision really standing out as genuinely excellent works.

Some of the biggest issues with Phase Four included: weightless dramatic writing, a lack of franchise progression, the ruination of past characters, iffy visuals, bad comedy, underwhelming villains and a complete lack of stakes.

Well, Quantumania does have an amazing villain and it does move the franchise forward but all of those other issues are very much in evidence, and it seems like Marvel Studios has learned little from its recent mistakes.

This series is still limping on until the end of Phase Six at least but to be blunt, if things carry on like this there might not be many viewers left by that point. In an ideal world, someone would've had the sense to put this declining cinematic universe out of its misery before now but sadly, money always seems to trump artistic integrity when it comes to Disney.
