Ant-Man And The Wasp Review: 6 Ups & 5 Downs

2. The Quantum Realm Is Awesome

After the first Ant-Man introduced audiences to the quantum realm, the sequel further explores the mysterious microverse as Scott, Hank and Hope venture to rescue Janet and bring her back to the big wide world.

Though Peyton Reed certainly could've delved deeper into the eerie-yet-beautiful locale, our trip into the quantum realm is nevertheless a gorgeous sight to behold.

Watching Hank Pym pilot a miniature submersible past "gigantic", grotesque, mawed creatures eager to devour anything they encounter is a rarest moment of surprise horror in an otherwise incredibly silly movie.

Hopefully the quantum realm will be given a more in-depth treatment in the future, but regardless, Ant-Man and the Wasp builds further intrigue about the dimension and its true nature.
