Ant-Man And The Wasp: Who Is Villain Ghost?
3. What The Comics Say
The most obvious change to begin with is the fact that, in the comics, Ghost isn't a woman. Going by the name of John Morley, the character was originally an Iron Man villain and an expert in industrial sabotage, spurred primarily by his hatred of American corporations.
Naturally, the character became something of an anti-hero after those first few encounters. The menacing aesthetic has stuck though, with Morley's suit having been fitted specifically to aid infiltration, disruption, and combat.
They rely on stealth primarily, being able to turn both himself and objects of his choosing invisible at a moment's notice. He can also tap into pretty much any electronic network in his vicinity, is a master inventor and - further still - he's proficient in all kinds of combat too.
These attributes have led to him duking it out with the Avengers, of all people. Equally interesting however is the fact that Ghost has also served on the Thunderbolts - Marvel Comics' Suicide Squad equivalent. Could Kevin Feige be seeding their arrival to the franchise?
