Ant-Man & The Wasp: 7 Things We Want To See In Marvel’s Insect-Themed Sequel

5. All-New Villains For Marvel€™s Insect Duo To Tangle With

As much as we enjoyed watching Corey Stoll bring badboy politics to House of Cards, his Ant-Man antagonist Darren Cross goes down as yet another Marvel villain who failed to live up to Loki€™s lofty standards. With this in mind, it€™s probably for the best that Cross was assimilated at the end of Ant-Man as the way is clear for Reed to add some fresh blood to the rogues gallery. There are plenty of contenders from the comic archives to take up the villain role. Whirlwind, who€™s essentially Marvel€™s answer to Taz, is a constant thorn in Ant-Man's side - the kind of thorn that Lang might only be able to dislodge in Giant-Man form. Crossfire is another candidate for the antagonist post. He€™s the cybernetically-enhanced cousin of Darren Cross and a solid option if Reed decides to keep things in the family. Handing the villain role to either of these guys would spell an end to something we've seen more than enough of in the Marvel cinematic universe - mirror bad guys. Ant-Man continued this tired tradition with Yellowjacket, so isn't it about time the mirror was shattered?
