The latest MCU trailer has dropped and fans need answers!

What started back in January of 2021 with WandaVision is soon to be finished with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in November 2022. Phase Four will finish as the shortest, and arguably the most uneven Phase in the MCU so far, but now eyes are already being cast to Phase Five.

In just four months’ time, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will release, kicking off a whole new chapter in both the MCU and the Multiverse Saga. With the trailer dropping, it’s fair to say that excitement and expectations for the 31st entry in the franchise have gone through the roof.

The Ant-Man series has typically been one of the more grounded in the MCU, but that is all set to change. On an aesthetic level, the movie looks like something of a cross between Doctor Strange and Star Wars, and will throw Scott and his family into situations you never would have dreamed of seeing him in when he made his franchise debut in 2015.

As with all good trailers, there were a few key moments shown, and fans now have a better feel for the movie and for the story, but we have been left with far more questions than answers. There is just four months to wait for them, so long as a second trailer doesn’t come along with some huge spoilers Multiverse of Madness-style, but it will feel like so much longer.

10. Who Is Bill Murray Playing?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has done a wonderful job of balancing its cast between huge stars of the screen, and virtual unknowns it would eventually turn into stars. The Ant-Man franchise however, has typically leaned heavily toward the former.

The likes of Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lily, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Laurence Fishburne are all household names, and the list is set to be added to by Bill Murray. The comedy icon’s appearance in the movie has been expected for some time, with the trailer finally showing his character for the first time.

According to rumour, Murray’s character will be known as Krylar. Only one such character has existed in Marvel Comics before, making just a singular appearance in The Incredible Hulk #156. Though the character had no ties to Ant-Man, his single appearance did portray him as something of a servant to a mad warlord in a shrunken world.

After watching the trailer, it doesn’t take much to connect the dots. It would seem that Krylar could be some sort of advisor to Kang the Conqueror in the Quantum Realm, though what exactly that would look like is still completely up in the air.
