Perhaps the single most satisfying gag during the final battle sees our gooey alien friend Veb getting a little too ambitious for his own good and running prematurely into the fight, where he's peppered with rounds by Kang's army.

Veb doesn't die, though - he's simply riddled with holes, and given his noted obsession with holes earlier in the movie, is rather elated to have some of his own.

More to the point, Veb realises he can use his holes to form one giant hole, which he then uses to suck the enemy forces up and devour them, just like Kirby.

Fittingly, know-it-all Quaz then admits, "I didn't know he could do that."
