Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania Review - 5 Ups & 5 Downs

1. Kathryn Newton Brings Life To Cassie

Quantumania introduces the third actress to play Scott Lang's daughter Cassie in the MCU to date, following her original child actress Abby Ryder Fortson, aged-up form in Avengers: Endgame as played by Emma Fuhrmann, and recast once more here with Kathryn Newton.

Newton, an appealing on-the-rise actress, is certainly one of the film's highlights, bringing spunky life to Scott's outspoken daughter, who starts the movie getting arrested while fighting for social justice, and retains her fiery, rebellious spirit throughout.

The particulars of the father-daughter dynamic throughout the movie may be dead ordinary, but Newton establishes the older Cassie as a likeable, forthright young hero who certainly has major potential if Kevin Feige decides to keep her around for the long haul - which one suspects he will.
