13. The Sand Literally Burped

Before they get to Sicily, the pair head to the Sahara to find the lost kingdom where the Trident was formed - now dried out and under the vast sands of the desert. They get there by commandeering a cargo plane, somehow, which seems to be transporting a single goat and a chicken over the Sahara. Very important business, that. Carbon emissions be damned.

Anyway, after jumping out of the plane (because she's a red-head and thus apparently unhinged, or something) miles away from where their magical compass is telling them they need to be, instead of just getting the plane to go directly there, they stumble across the entrance to the kingdom. Arthur literally falls through it after they share some banter. It's all very cutesy.

He falls through a sinkhole in the sand and Mera follows, and then, because this is a ridiculous film, the sand literally burps. It's like a bloody Looney Tunes cartoon.
