3. The Tone

Despite the fact that the story centres on a quest to take over the surface world and conflict designed to kill off Aquaman, there's enough levity in there to suggest Aquaman will be closer to Wonder Woman than Justice League or Batman v Superman, and that's definitely a positive.

Sure, we could all do without the goat reaction shot, but you can let SOME silliness slide.

Even the final logo at the end of the trailer avoids the DCEU's dominant colour scheme of All Black Everything (Warner Bros seem to think it's cooler or more edgy, it seems). And the white and silver look ends up being even cooler than anything designed to be more "gritty."
