As the film's subtitle tells you, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice isn't just a showdown between the two biggest superheroes ever, but also laying the groundwork for DC's suddenly expanding Cinematic Universe, not least the Justice League two-parter coming in 2017 and 2019. This naturally means a lot of the comic company's big hitters - Wonder Woman, Cyborg, whoever Scoot McNairy's playing - will have extended appearances ahead of their own stand-alone movies and the team-up. One of the most talked about additions has been Aquaman, played by Game Of Thrones' Jason Momoa; the reveal of his apposite character design earlier this year really divided people and there's been a big question over how much the hero (who has his own movie a year after Dawn Of Justice) will actually be in the pretty stuffed film. Well, the guys over at Heroic Hollywood have got a scoop that explains just how the King of Atlantis will fit into the narrative. According to them, Aquaman is being held in a containment cell, with the scene they describe showing "his hand slap against the glass." The same report also has information about Ezra Miller's Flash (stand-alone movie coming in 2018), who will apparently appear as "a blur that stops a robbery". Wow. If this is the extent of these characters' appearances then this is probably the laziest attempts at seeding sequels in the history of superhero cinema. All that fuss that's been made about them over the past year (especially Momoa, who's look was revealed before Lex Luthor) seems totally worthless. It's good for keeping the film focused on the two main heroes, but cameos this small are only going to appeal to serious fans and not really bring on board the more general audience who need schooling in these characters. That's all assuming, of course, that Heroic Hollywood have knowledge of the whole picture - for now we're still in the realm of speculation. So what do you think?
