When we initially meet minor internet celebrity Mikey Guzman we think we know all we need to know about the guy. As loud, arrogant and full of himself that he seems to be at first glance, he turns out to be much more than meets the eye.

Out of all the characters in the movie, Mikey is the one who felt the most out of his league, and he knew it. The guy was absolutely terrified, with a look of pure fear on his face at just about every moment. His vulnerability humanized him, allowing for his character to come across as sympathetic rather than insufferable.

Guzman fought valiantly against the horde of zombies in the casino, but ultimately fell victim to a bite on his arm. Knowing that his time was up, he turned himself into a human bomb to help clear the way for everyone else. The look of regret and fear on his face right before he died told us that, at the end of the day, he was just a scared kid trying to play grown up.

Mikey's death was savage not because of how he died, but the emotional state he was in when he did.
