Arnold Schwarzenegger: Every Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
31. Batman & Robin (1997)
Joel Schumacher's infamous final nail in the coffin for the Batman franchise saw Arnold Schwarzenegger secure top billing (and a $30m paycheck) to play the movie's main antagonist Mr. Freeze. While the actor was well-known for his signature one-liners, in Batman & Robin this was reduced to a seemingly never-ending barrage of terrible ice-related puns. There is a reason why Batman & Robin is regarded as one of the worst comic book movies ever made; overcrowded and overstuffed, Schumacher's neon-and-nipples extravaganza gave the 1960's TV show a run for its money as the most ridiculous live-action interpretation of the character. While none of the cast emerge unscathed, Schwarzenegger in particular is guilty of some serious crimes against scenery-chewing.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
