Arnold Schwarzenegger To Star In TRUE LIES 2 And New TV Series?

Following the recent announcement from Arnold Schwarzenegger himself that the former Governator would soon be making his acting return, The Hollywood Reporter say that the veteran will soon announce his inclusion in a 'new international TV series' he is working on. Although details are scarce right now, the trades claim we will hear full details of the project at an April 4th press conference at the Riviera-side Majestic Hotel, at the MIPTV in Cannes. Rumours will no doubt speculate that the show might have something to do with a reprisal of his role as Harry Tasker from the 1994 hit True Lies, as Arnie's co-star from that movie Tom Arnold recently revealed to MovieWeb that a True Lies 2 (albeit on the big screen and not a TV series) was on the cards and rumours concerning the sequel have been persistently circulating for years. But with Tom Arnold now convinced that it is definitely going to happen, even going so far as to claim that former director James Cameron is on board (but only as a producer, unfortunately), I'm now more than happy to go out on a limb and begin preparing myself for the sight of Arnie's sagging man-boobs gracing the screens of my local Cineworld. Speaking of Arnie's possible involvement with the sequel, Mr. Arnold had this to say;
All I can say right now is, I know that Arnold and I will work together. A lot of people are sending him scripts now. He is carefully going through them, deciding what he wants to do. He wants to have some fun. He wants to do something that is worth his time, but fun. Hopefully, we can get this thing figured out. And we can get something on track. I am just waiting. I am following his lead.
Lest we not forget that as recently as last September, a James Cameron produced and 20th Century Fox TV financed production of True Lies for the small screen was announced. Are we putting two and two together and making five here? You tell me. But c'mon, admit it. You're excited. Ever since you left the screening of The Expendables bellowing "DEEZ PEOPLE NEED AIR!" down the aisles, you've craved another Schwarzenegger fix.
