Arnold Schwarzenegger's Top 20 Greatest Action Scenes

19. Red Heat - Bus Chase

"Moscow's toughest detective. Chicago's craziest cop. There's only one thing more dangerous than making them mad: making them partners" was the long tagline for the 1988 buddy cop movie. Ivan Danko (Schwarzenegger) who is sent to Chicago to team up with Art Ridzik (James Belushi) to take down Russian gangster Viktor Rostavili (Ed O'Ross) Released during the tail-end of the Cold War, the movie received a mixed reception from critics and holds a 56% rating on Rotten Tomatoes but has since gained a cult following. The film isn't bad by any stretch but it is not a classic. Directed by Walter Hill who also gave us '48 Hours' starring Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy which was another unlikely buddy movie, the formula doesn't work as well in Red Heat as it did in his previous film. In any case, it's worth watching for Schwarzenegger's awesome Russian accent. Number 19 on our list, in this scene Danko and Ridzik pursue Viktor by commandeering a bus. Cue lots of buildings being smashed and cars being crushed! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mfxvGhQ9Do
