ARTHUR Poster Forgets About Greta Gerwig!

Wow! Greta Gerwig is sure being shafted. The indie actress who in the April opening remake of Dudley Moore's 80's classic comedy Arthur has the Liza Minnelli role, i.e. the main love interest who is a working class girl that Arthur risks his fortune to be with - was curiously all but absent from the official trailer (she clocks 2 secs or so) and has now been struck off from the one sheet below. WB clearly think audiences will be sold more on Jennifer Garner, obviously, a more well known & better looking actress but she has the smaller part of the two and it's kind of insulting to Gerwig that they couldn't Photoshop her in there somewhere. Anyway, putting that major annoyance aside, I didn't much like the Russell Brand/Helen Mirren joke-a-thon of the trailer and I guess this movie is going to be significant to see how much fuel Brand has in the tank. In this movie, he's not playing the obnoxious, drug & alcholol intoxicated version of Brand that is Aldous Snow and if you saw him on Saturday Night Live last week, I just wonder if he is trying to change the public perception by making himself be depicted as more family friendly so he'll enjoy a career in the industry that lasts longer than three movies. Gonna be interesting to see if audiences go for it.
