2. Oscar Isaac
Another Latino on the list, Oscar Issac was born in Guatemala, but grew up in Miami. He was in the newest Robin Hood as Prince John, but the fact that I dont remember him is more a statement of how forgettable the movie was, than a mark against him as an actor. He also appeared the god-awful Sucker Punch with a funny moustache, but thats about all I remembered of his performance, as I try to block that movie out of my head as much as possible. But boy did I remember him after his performance as Standard in 2011s Drive. The scene where he first meets Driver in the hallway is great for numerous reasons, but I feel most of the credit goes to Isaac for his on-the-edge just-out-of-prison demeanor. By now Ive seen the movie countless times and sure enough, every time I watch this scene, I expect him to start talking and beating on the Driver. And thats a testament to his abilities as an actor.
