The best man for the job is also the second alum of the Bourne franchise on this list (#2 -Oscar Isaac appeared in Legacy, Ramirez in Ultimatum), and the second person from Vantage Point (#6 - Saïd Taghmaoui). Hes also yet another person of Hispanic descent, and an incredibly good looking, incredibly good actor. That being said, I havent seen him all of his work, but what I have seen, I really like. Domino was the first thing I saw him in, and as deliriously demented - but fun as hell - as that movie was, Edgar stood head and shoulders with Keira and Mickey in his American film debut, and made a quick name for himself. You dont speak Spanish? You live in LA - you should speak Spanish. His brief appearance in Bourne Ultimatum was second only to Karl Urban on the list of coolest assassins sent after Bourne. He was able to imbue a little bit of humanity and oddly, curiosity into his character that others, even Clive Owen in Bourne Identity had not really done before. And all this comes before even mentioning that he starred in the four hour long Spanish film Carlos, about the infamous real-life assassin, Carlos the Jackal. The film was later re-edited into a three part mini-series for international distribution, and I highly encourage you to check it out on Netflix, or wherever you watch movies, because if you ever had any doubts as to Edgar Ramirez as an actor, you wont after watching this. He's compelling, emotional, riveting, explosive, and just all-around badass, while giving a towering performance thats at once both subtle and bombastic. Watch it, youll understand.
