Atomic Blonde Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

6. Charlize Theron's Incredible Performance

Atomic Blonde Charlize Theron

No matter the movie's issues, Atomic Blonde is completely beyond reproach in one respect: Charlize Theron gives one Hell of a performance as MI6 agent Lorraine Broughton.

Despite her obvious physical appeal and exceptional acting talent, she fares extremely well during the movie's many action sequences, proving completely convincing even when fighting numerous men much larger than herself.

She sells her physical prowess incredibly well but at the same time still feels grounded and human rather than a superhero, frequently icing off her horrendous post-fight injuries.

There's more nuance to her performance that can't be talked about for spoilerific reasons, but rest assured, she brings her all to the role in every respect.
