Avatar: The Last Airbender - 7 Things That Need To Be In The Live Action Series

6. Zuko's Redemption Arc

Zuko's redemption arc is probably one of the best written in TV history. It's well paced and authentically explains why Zuko acts the way that he does at the start of the show. We get to watch as someone we thought was going to be a series-long villain becomes one of Aang's most trusted allies.

For a show that was meant for children, it did an incredible job of showing that not all people in the world are completely good or bad. This arc is significant because it was for many of us, the first time we were exposed to an anti-hero type of character.

Zuko's story has to do with the value of honor. It has to do with realizing that you do not have to become like your parents should you not want to. It's about the power of having the courage to stand up to your bully, even if that bully is your father.
