Avengers 2: 10 Things You Need To Know About New Characters

7. Quicksilver - Overprotective Hothead

Quicksilver has always been fiercely over-protective of his twin sister, the Scarlet Witch. This is despite the fact that the Scarlet Witch is infinitely more powerful than her speedster brother. This aspect of Quicksilver€™s character, combined with his abrasive personality, has led him to come to blows with several of his fellow Avengers at many times in the past.

One of the Scarlet Witch€™s early suitors was none other than Hawkeye, who would persistently hit on Wanda despite her equally persistent rejections. This led to a lot of tension in the team between Clint and Pietro. Jeremy Renner€™s Hawkeye is said to get an elevated role in Age of Ultron compared to The Avengers, so part of that additional material could come from his flirtations with the Scarlet Witch and a rivalry with Quicksilver.

But Hawkeye€™s not the only one Quicksilver has clashed with. When he discovered that Wanda and the Vision were in love, he practically disowned his sister. Although he eventually came around, that kind of material could provide some very intriguing human drama and clashing personalities. And this time without the need for Loki€™s staff to push people to go at each other€™s throats.
