Avengers 2: 10 Things You Need To Know About New Characters
8. Love Knows No Bounds

The Vision and the Scarlet Witch have had something of a tumultuous romance in the comics. When they finally admitted their feelings for each other, there was an almost immediate backlash. Hawkeye felt snubbed that Wanda would choose a robot over him and there were some Avengers who seemed a bit uncomfortable by the pairing. When Quicksilver found out, he practically disowned his sister and wouldnt speak to her for quite some time.
And thats not even counting the public reaction. Once word got out, protestors turned up on the doorstep of Avengers Mansion, decrying the union between the two as something obscene. Those displays nearly caused Wanda to take out her anger in a very vengeful fashion.
The pair encountered other difficulties as time went on, even after they were married. Wandas magic allowed them to create twin boys. After the Vision was dismantled by the US government, Wonder Man refused to allow his brainwaves to be used to reprogram him. When the Vision was rebuilt, it was as a cold, emotionless being who seemingly cared nothing for his family. Wandas children were also taken from her, revealed to be shards of Mephistos soul.
A lot of this was later undone. The Vision regained his emotions, but by that time Wanda had begun a relationship with Wonder Man. And their sons have returned as teenagers with powers of their own and were members of the Young Avengers.
