6. Who Is Baron Strucker?

Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker was a Prussian nobleman who fought for Germany in World War I and then joined the Nazi Party during Hitler€™s rise to power. During World War II, he became the leader of the Death€™s Head Squadron and frequently clashed with Sgt. Nick Fury and his Howling Commandos. He also had connections to the Hand and a young Natasha Romanoff. In Japan, Strucker joined forces with a subversive underground movement that he transformed into Hydra after the end of WW2. The movies have established that Hydra was a Nazi science division created by the Red Skull during the war, and was kept alive by Arnim Zola and other Hydra scientists recruited by SHIELD following the war. Since the movies have Nick Fury aging normally instead of being kept perpetually young by the Infinity Formula, it seems unlikely they€™ll have Baron Strucker as a WW2-era Nazi. Strucker also has the Satan Claw, a metal gauntlet grafted to his right hand that grants him superhuman strength and can discharge electricity. His DNA has also been bonded with the Death Spore Virus, which he can release at will to kill victims. If Strucker dies, the virus could be set free and risk infecting everyone on the planet. Seems like something a genocidal robot could definitely find use for€
