7. Thane Will Save The Day

The Rumour

After most of his family were "dealt with" one way or another in Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos' long-lost son Thane will turn up as he did in the comics and be the one to defeat his father. The rumour suggests he'd be a secret even to Thanos as he was in his origin story and that it would fit that he'd be killed or defeated by his offspring given his obsession with building a family and the contradiction in the way he treats them.

The Debunking

Look, even if you're JK Rowling, you can't just get away with randomly introducing new family members without ANY establishing work in a franchise like this. That would be the ultimate ass-pull, particularly given how important Thanos' "family" has been to him as a concept.

There was of course some poetic justice in the comics to Thane fighting against his father, but we already have that with Nebula spoiling for some revenge, so it would be both stupid AND redundant to go with Thane too.
