Ladies and gentlemen, the hour is finally upon us. Marvel has seen fit to bless the world and break the internet with the release of the trailer and title reveal for Avengers 4, now formally known as Avengers: Endgame.

In delivering their biggest blockbuster hit ever with Infinity War, Marvel Studios also pulled off one of the biggest cliffhangers in recent memory leaving audiences dangling off of a cliff with half of their beloved characters all turned to dust.

Ever since the final shot of a content and happy Thanos basking in the sunlight, audiences have been itching to see what happens next and exactly how the Avengers are going to undo what he's done and defeat him.

This trailer offers up the first glimpse of how the team will cope with their losses and plan to take down Thanos, teasing many possibilities over the course of its two-and-half-minute runtime. These are ten theories about where the story of Avengers: Endgame will take the team, based on the new trailer.

10. Tony Dies

Right off the bat, this trailer spends nearly half of its runtime with a space-stranded Tony Stark on the verge of death as he records an apparent goodbye message for his beloved Pepper Potts. This confronts the long-standing rumor that Tony Stark will wind up sacrificing himself for the team pretty head-on.

Honestly, it would make a lot of sense for Tony to die in this film. Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony is the one who started it all back in 2008 and one of the most effective and easiest ways for Marvel to really show fans just how much they mean business in terms of changing the roster of heroes moving forward would be to kill Tony Stark.

There's also ample amounts of evidence from previous films in terms of foreshadowing to back this theory up, from his almost self-sacrifice in The Avengers, to his dire dream sequence in Age of Ultron, to him striking a Jesus pose in the middle of the Infinity War poster.

It's safe to say he won't die on the Milano (as there are literally dozens of characters with ways to save him from this predicament in the MCU) but the sheer fact that Marvel continues to go to great lengths to make viewers think Tony could die is a solid sign that his time may finally run out in this film.
