By now everyone knows that Infinity War teed up a reunion for the original six Avengers in the fourth film, and while Tony Stark is still stranded in space, and Hawkeye's still unaccounted for, there's little doubt that the original group will come together in a nod back to 2012's Avengers Assemble.
Approach that first Avengers film today, and you're likely to pick up and some of its flaws. However, there's no way of detracting from that impeccable shot where the original six members come together to lock and load for the climax. It gives goosebumps, and while they'll be reuniting under graver circumstances in Avengers 4 - with the little matter of half the life in the universe having been wiped out an obvious concern - it's a moment that's likely to give both the original cast and all fans a huge smile.
Even better, potentially, would be having the surviving Guardians, War Machine, and the Dora Milaje take part in the sequence too. They're all Avengers now, and with a similar shot having already appeared in Infinity War, it's unlikely that Avengers 4 eschews the trend and passes on what's obviously a fantastic opportunity to call back to the MCU's formative years.
