Avengers 4: 10 Things Fans Demand

5. Banner Gets To Hulk Out

Call it what you will, but Bruce Banner's relationship with Hulk in Infinity War was... something, to say the least. The character's performance issues aside, there was an interesting dialogue to be had in reinforcing the importance of Bruce Banner and how the Hulk reacts to their partnership. He clearly feels abused by the wee man, but where Banner more than proved his worth in the film, Avengers 4 would do well to give the character a thorough send-off with another appearance from the green rage monster.

Thanos ruined Hulk fairly easily with two infinity stones in his possession, but he's a sizeable opponent even without them. That said, Hulk took on one of Hela's wolves in Thor: Ragnarok and clearly has more to give, given the appropriate time to recover. Marvel have also spoken of the Avengers films as being a Hulk trilogy of sorts, owing to the fact they've never been able to make a sequel to The Incredible Hulk, thanks to a distribution dispute with Universal Pictures.

If Banner is to receive a proper send-off in Avengers 4, Marvel need to pull out all the stops to make it feel impactful. We've had two films where he's been in and out of both personas, then one of each where he's been all Hulk or Banner, and it'd make sense to bring the character back to a state of balance for the finale.

Mark Ruffalo is one of the best things about the MCU, so if he isn't to appear after Avengers 4, one can only hope he gets the ending fans covet.
