Avengers 4: 10 Twists Nobody Will See Coming

Although Thanos proved he's the greatest threat the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ever faced, whether he's evil in the black-and-white sense of the word is debatable. If poverty, hunger and various other unpleasant things were eradicated when he snapped his fingers, does that mean his extreme actions were justified?

It's a complex debate, but the point is that there's another side to the Mad Titan, beyond his obsession with death, and this has been explored in the comics. Several stories have positioned Thanos as a cosmic anti-hero of sorts, teaming up with the likes of Adam Warlock to protect the universe from even greater threats.

There's a chance we will see this side of him in the movies because Thanos is too valuable to simply kill off without exploring what makes him tick beyond villainy. While he's certain to have a rematch with the heroes in Avengers 4, there's a possibility of him teaming up with them by the final act to take down a common enemy.

In the Infinity Gauntlet comic books, Nebula takes up the cosmic glove and becomes a bigger threat than her adoptive father. Perhaps the film will mirror this and force the Avengers into an uneasy alliance with the Mad Titan late in the game.
