4. Bruce Banner Becomes 'Professor Hulk'
Bruce Banner's relationship with the Hulk has taken some interesting twists and turns in recent movies. Thor: Ragnarok saw the Green Goliath refuse to relinquish the driver's seat for two years, and during Infinity War he was unwilling to surface.
Hulk was sending out a clear message to his fellow passenger, informing Banner that he is no longer willing to be used as a weapon of war on demand. By the end of the movie, the two personalities were completely at odds with each other.
The character's arc seems to be pointing to a clear endgame, one which the comic book diehards will be familiar with. During Peter David's run on Incredible Hulk, Banner and his irate alter ego eventually reach a compromise and integrate with one another, resulting in the creation of a new character referred to as 'Professor Hulk'.
Professor Hulk is a happy middle ground between the two personas, possessing Banner's genius-level intellect and the Hulk's love for smashing things up. A similar truce and unification could well occur by the end of Avengers 4.
Evidence for this has already surfaced as what is claimed to be a leaked character poster for Avengers 4 shows a very different Hulk. He's less beefed-up, bears a closer physical resemblance to Banner and, most tellingly of all, is wearing clothes.
