2. Banner Is Permanently Separated From The Hulk

Though the hero trade-off would presumably also result in the death of Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), that doesn't necessarily mean it has to be the end for The Hulk.

It's been speculated for quite some time that Banner and the Big Green Guy will be split into two separate entities at some point, perhaps with the help of the Mind Stone.

After all, Ruffalo referred to Ragnarok as the beginning of Banner and Hulk's separation, and with his infamous lack of regard for spoilers, there's a good chance he's hinting at the wider arc for these two characters.

It would be an intriguing way to finally give Banner the peace he deserves, shortly before his death though it probably is, while not decisively writing out one of the most-loved Avengers.
