Avengers 4: 11 Things That MUST Happen
11. Heimdall, Loki & Vision's Deaths Are Permanent
While it's incredibly likely that Gamora (Zoe Saldana) will be resurrected during Avengers 4 - assuming James Gunn's remarks about her having a major role in Guardians Vol. 3 weren't a clever troll - the other significant pre-snap deaths really should end up sticking.
Heimdall (Idris Elba), Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Vision (Paul Bettany) all died memorable, noble deaths, and in each case it really felt like their arcs in the MCU were being tied off.
While most of the disintegrated Avengers had plenty of unfinished business, these three characters died for something significant, and keeping it permanent ensures Thanos' (Josh Brolin) massacre isn't entirely undone by the end of A4.
Heimdall was a fairly inconsequential character anyway, and Thanos makes a very pointed half-wink at the audience about Loki being dead for keeps this time, so it's really just a case of whether or not Vision will be be granted a happy ending with Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) or not.
As bittersweet as his perma-death will be, it's the right thing for the character and, indeed, the universe.
