Avengers 4: 11 Things That MUST Happen
10. Shuri Becomes Queen Of Wakanda
With T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) being disintegrated at the end of Infinity War, there's presumably an open slot for Wakanda's ruler when A4 kicks off, and going by the typical rules of sovereign ascension, Shuri (Letitia Wright) would be next in line to the throne.
Considering that Shuri didn't get her own Black Panther suit in T'Challa's solo movie as many fans hoped and expected, making her the interim Queen of Wakanda would be a fantastic wish fulfilment opportunity until T'Challa can be resurrected.
Sure, she perhaps lacks the experience and maturity needed for the role, but T'Challa's demise could very well affect her so drastically that she becomes inspired to take up the mantle. Plus, with a shewdly-picked team of advisers on hand, she can be a tremendous intellect, fierce warrior and eventually a potent leader also.
It's possible Shuri could abstain from the throne and instead pass it to M'Baku (Winston Duke), but given the novel appeal of Shuri taking the throne and the easy PR points it would score in a franchise that's still struggling to place women in major, dominant roles, it would be super neat.
