14. Where Was Captain Marvel (And What Did The Page Say)?

What We Know

Captain Marvel is coming. Having been paged by Nick Fury at the end of Infinity War, she will presumably arrive on Earth to help guide the heroes to victory (since Kevin Feige has apparently said she will lead "the entire MCU").

What We Need To Know

There's a lot to unpack about Marvel's role. First, what did Nick Fury actually send to Marvel? Was it a catch-all SOS message? In that case, does that mean they were both expecting a catastrophic event to happen? And if so, why wouldn't Marvel be on Earth ready?

That question in itself is a huge one and presumably we'll have an answer when her solo movie comes out next year. Why did she leave Earth after the 90s? And where has she been since then while Earth has faced other attacks (like Loki's invasion) if she was only a page away? There's going to have to be a compelling reason.
