13. Could Shuri Become Black Panther?

What We Know

T'Challa - the king of Wakanda and Black Panther - is dead (for all intents and purposes), having been one of the heroes disappeared by Thanos' snap. His country is now leaderless, though as with most royal families, T'Chaka and Ramonda made an heir and a spare, so there could be an answer to that issue already made...

What We Need To Know

Shuri obviously already has a role as Wakanda's chief science officer (effectively), but as a princess, she's the next in like for the Wakandan throne and the next most likely candidate to be the new Black Panther. She might not have the Heart-Shaped Herb to fall back on for an improved physical profile, but Shuri is basically Tony Stark thanks to her genius and what she lacks in physical prowess, her brain could more than make up for.

And she'd certainly be a popular replacement for her brother. So could she be in line for a "promotion"? Even a temporary one?

She could, of course, face competition from Okoye and M'Baku as skilled warriors, but they're likely to have their own issues in Avengers 4.
