Avengers 4: 6 Dead Characters Who Will Definitely Appear

4. Vision

Avengers Age Of Ultron Vision
Marvel Studios

His Death: Avengers: Infinity War. After Thanos arrives in Wakanda and has a leisurely stroll through several other Avengers, he comes face-to-face with Vision, reversing the android's first death by using the Time Stone, then finishing the job himself.

His Avengers 4 Role: Several pieces of Avengers 4 concept art have leaked in 2018, and over the summer, we got some that pertained directly to Vision (via CBM).

The images show the character with a fresh new design, lacking his signature red, gold and green colours and instead looking plain, white and grey. This could be because the images weren't final, or, more interestingly, it could be a clue that Vision will return in Avengers 4 as his West Coast Avengers iteration from the comics. In this storyline, Vision is abducted and dismantled, later to be rebuilt by Hank Pym. This results in him becoming emotionless and pale, losing all his colour.

Since Vision died in Infinity War, the stage is set for a West Coast Avengers-style return (rebuilt by Shuri, perhaps?), complete with ghostly colour scheme - maybe the loss of the Mind Stone will result in this change? Marvel are obviously not going to acknowledge that the concept art is real, but Vision's return is firmly on the cards.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
