5. Avengers: Infinity Watch

The Spoiler: Thanos is defeated (at some point) and a select crew are chosen to scarper with the Infinity Stones to protect them.

The question of what happens to the Infinity Stones after the Infinity War is a pretty pressing one. It's not like the threat of them existing - or at least the threat of some villain wanting to get their hands on them - would simply go away with Thanos' defeat. There has to be a long-term provision, and that's where Infinity Watch could come in.

And a film about the aftermath of the Infinity Gauntlet would definitely be different to an escalation of War.

Admittedly, watching a committee of superheroes decide who gets to keep the Stones would be a little boring, but you could also adapt in specific Infinity Saga elements to make it far more exciting. For instance, you could have Nebula get her hands on at least some of the Stones and make her own play for power, or you could have Adam Warlock - charged with splitting up the Gauntlet - losing his mind under its influence and becoming a temporary threat.

Or one of his old foes could appear to influence members of the Watch before something like The Illuminati steps in. It's infinitely possible to add lots of drama.
