8. The Skrulls

When Marvel announced that the Skrulls would play a prominent role in the upcoming Captain Marvel prequel, fans were fairly surprised. They were Fantastic Four villains after all, and with the fab foursome then under the control of 21st Century Fox, it was considered a given that they'd never grace the corners of the MCU.
However, with the big green alien shape-shifters now confirmed to exist, focus has shifted to what role they could play in the MCU after Captain Marvel concludes. They can't just have disappeared after all, and with their Body Snatching ways well documented, theories have abounded in the months since hypothesising that several key Marvel figures could in fact be imposters.
While that might be a stretch at this stage, one compelling rumour emerged the other month that said that the Skrulls will have a minor role in Avengers 4, and that it has everything to do with Hawkeye.
With Clint Barton said to be working in Japan under the Ronin identity, the targets he's tracking down are (according to the story) the actual Skrulls themselves. Could this be Marvel hinting at a Secret Invasion story further down the line?
