5. The Guardians Are Back

Right now, the "Guardians" of the Galaxy are... Rocket and Nebula.

That's it.

Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Mantis ALL get wiped out by The Snap, and... well, you just can't have the final part of your trilogy without the majority of the characters. Yes, I said "final part" because James Gunn has said the movie has some "epic conclusion", and was all for hyping it as a continuation of what went before... until everyone died.

Similar to Spidey, you can't market a film off dead characters, and even if Marvel are deciding whether a Rocket and Nebula-backed PR campaign would work, it makes much more sense on and off screen to restore the Guardians (or the majority of them, sorry Gamora) in Avengers 4.
