Avengers 4: 9 Things We KNOW Will Happen
4. Revisiting The Battle Of New York
As if the spoilers weren't big enough, it looks like one of Avengers 4's biggest set-pieces is a return to the Battle of New York, from 2012's The Avengers.
With the crew including Cap (in his bright blue and red costume), Thor (with long hair and Mjolnir) and Hulk, it's only Stark who's dressed differently to the Black Sabbath t-shirt getup he had in the movie.
The conclusion?
Somehow, Tony Stark has found a way to travel back in time, going all the way back to when The Avengers were at their most cohesive, and potentially, most powerful.
Plucking this version of the characters' mindsets out of the ether and pitting them against Thanos means you've got a less politically conflicted Captain America, a Thor who hasn't lost his entire family, and a Bruce Banner who can actually control the Hulk.
Again - that ensemble image that front-loaded all of Infinity War's marketing? It featured the Hulk.
If the linchpin of beating Thanos is in redoing the battle of Wakanda, Hulk could be a decider, alongside Thor brandishing another of Eitri's weapons, Mjolnir, and being told to "aim for the head".
