14. We'll See Tony Stark's Funeral

The Rumour

We're going to see Tony Stark die at some point in Avengers 4 and we'll also see his funeral service. That rumour comes courtesy of IMDB's reveal that Ty Simpkins will apparently return as Harley Keener - the role he introduced in Iron Man 3.

And on the back of that, there's only one real thing that would bring old friends of the Starks into considerations - particularly with the hint that Avengers 4 has a major funeral sequence. Tony Stark will be the guest of honour.

Don't rule it out - mostly because there's limited opportunity to bring Simkins back into the story otherwise - and having Tony Stark retired out of the MCU makes a lot of sense on the cusp of a brand new era.

But there's also a LOT of value left in the Iron Man brand and Disney are unlikely to want to permanently close the door on one of their most lucrative film series.
